My Specialties Are…

Classic massage: light to medium pressure.
The purpose of Classic massage is to enhance your general health and well-being. It involves systems of structured movement or palpation of the soft tissue of the body, such stroking, kneading, gliding, percussion, friction, vibration, compression, passive or active stretching within the normal anatomical range of movement

Deep Tissue: aggressive pressure.
This technique of massage utilizes deep tissue and muscle to affect the sub-layer of musculature and fascia which helps with chronic muscle pain and injury rehabilitation, and reduces inflammation-related pain caused by arthritis and tendinitis. This technique requires advanced training and through understanding of the anatomy and physiology. Muscles must be relaxed to effectively perform deep tissue massage – otherwise the deeper muscles cannot be affected through the tight surface muscles.

Reflexology: feet and body points.
This type of massage, also referred to as zone therapy, involves manipulation of specific reflex areas in the foot, hands, and ears that correspond to other parts of the body to reduce pain, increase relaxation, and stimulate circulation of blood and lymphatic fluids. The application of pressure to these reflex zones provides stimulation to body organs and relieves areas of congestion. Similar to acupressure principles, reflexology works with the body’s energy flow to stimulate self-healing and maintain balance in physical function. It is especially useful in stress-related illness and emotional disorders. This type of massage is also convenient in cases where an area of the body is traumatized or diseased to the extent that direct manipulation is not appropriate.

Prenatal / Maternity massage:
A method of massage where specific techniques can reduce pregnancy discomforts and concerns and enhance the physiological and emotional well-being of both mother and fetus.

Aromatherapy massage: custom blended oils.
Using essential oils extracted from herbs, flowers, resin, woods, and roots (each with its own benefits) as body and skin care treatments. For thousands of years these essential oils aid in relaxation, improve circulation, and help the healing of wounds.

Corporate Chair massage:
This technique also known as seated massage involves the use of a specially designed massage chair in which each client is able to sit comfortably and remain fully clothed. Corporate Chair massage includes bodywork and somatic techniques, such as shiatsu, amma, and Swedish massage, made available for all the associates in your corporate setting.
